User Guide
For anyone viewing Recall suggestions on a Jira issue.
What Recall does
Recall surfaces resolved issues from your Jira history that look similar to the one you're currently viewing, so you can check whether a problem has already been solved before you start from scratch.
Where suggestions appear
Open any issue and select the Recall Suggestions tab in the issue activity panel. Recall shows a ranked list of related issues from projects your admin has enabled.
How to read a suggestion
Each suggestion shows the related issue's key, summary, and status. Suggestions are ranked by relevance to the issue you're viewing, with resolved issues surfaced first since they're the most useful reference for how a similar problem was handled.
What to do with a suggestion
Click a suggestion card to open that issue in a new tab. There's nothing to link or dismiss — suggestions are just a fast way to jump to relevant past issues, not something you need to act on.
Why no suggestions show
A few common reasons:
- The project hasn't been enabled by your admin yet
- The project was enabled recently and is still being indexed
- There's no similar issue history yet to suggest from
For anything else, check with your Jira admin — the Admin Guide covers indexing and troubleshooting in more detail.
Privacy
You'll only see suggestions from projects your admin has enabled. See our Privacy Policyfor details on what data Recall accesses and how it's handled.
